guruburu Care

guruburu Care terms.

Updated on 29.10.2026

These terms apply when you order guruburu Care, our WordPress hosting and care, in the client portal. Together with the SLA, the data processing agreement and the acceptable use policy they are the contract between you and us. The rest of guruburu.eu, the free check included, has its own terms of use.

Who we are

guruburu Care is sold by Vălcăneanțu Alin-Ștefan PFA (tax ID 44410738, F35/197/2024), Timișoara, Romania ("we"). Write to us at hello@guruburu.eu; the full details are on the Imprint page. "You" are the person or the company named on the account that orders.

The contract

The contract for a site is made when its first payment goes through. Each site has its own plan and its own subscription.

We sell to companies, sole traders and private persons, in Romania and across the EU. Mini and Mini Care are for private persons only and are never invoiced to a company. Where these terms give a right to consumers, it applies to accounts of private persons.

Plans and prices

Each plan covers one WordPress site. Every plan includes SSL, page cache, object cache, a staging copy and uptime alerts. They differ in storage, backups and care:

  • Mini, for private persons: €6 a month or €60 a year; 5 GB; a backup every month, the last 3 kept.
  • Mini Care, for private persons: €15 a month or €150 a year; 10 GB; a backup every week, the last 8 kept; updates tested on a copy before they reach the site.
  • Business: €9 a month or €90 a year; 15 GB; a backup every week, the last 8 kept.
  • Business Care: €25 a month or €250 a year; 25 GB; a backup every day, kept 30 days; updates tested on a copy.
  • Shop: €49 a month or €490 a year; 40 GB; a backup every day, kept 30 days, and of the database every hour, kept 48 hours; updates tested on a copy; tuned for WooCommerce.
  • Priority: €99 a month or €990 a year; 80 GB; the whole site backed up every hour, kept 48 hours, then one a day for 30 days and one a week for 13 weeks; updates tested on a copy; tuned for WooCommerce; first in the support queue and emergency help (see "Support and technical intervention").

A yearly plan costs 10 months for 12. Storage is the site's own disk; backups do not count against it. Besides these, the portal keeps a few backups you take yourself (1 on Mini, up to 10 on Priority); a new one past the limit replaces the oldest.

Prices are in euros and are the final price: we add no VAT while our business stays under the Romanian VAT threshold. If that changes, we tell you at least 30 days ahead.

No plan includes development work. New features, custom code and design are quoted separately.

Moving a site to us

We move an existing site for free with a yearly plan. With a monthly plan the move costs €49 once, on the first invoice. You give us access to your current host, we copy the site and check it, and we tell you when to change your DNS.

Payment and renewal

You pay through Stripe, by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or SEPA Direct Debit, in advance for the month or the year. The subscription renews by itself at the end of each period until you cancel it. You get a receipt by email for every payment, and an invoice from us.

If we change a plan's price, we email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. It applies from your first renewal after that, and you can cancel before then.

A failed payment

If a payment fails, we email you and Stripe tries again. You have 7 days to pay. After that the site is suspended: it goes offline, while its files, database and backups are kept. It comes back online once the payment goes through.

Money back in the first 30 days

In the first 30 days of a plan you can get all your money back, with no reason needed, from the plan page in the portal. We refund everything paid for that site since its plan started, the move fee included, end the plan at once and take the site offline. The money reaches you in 5 to 10 days.

Withdrawal, for private persons

If you are a private person, you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day the contract is concluded, the day you pay the order, without giving a reason. Use the "Withdraw from contract" button on the plan page in the portal, the link in the order email, or write to hello@guruburu.eu. You may use this model, but you do not have to:

  • To Vălcăneanțu Alin-Ștefan PFA, Timișoara, Romania, hello@guruburu.eu:
  • I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: guruburu Care, plan (name), for the site (address).
  • Ordered on (date). Name. Address. Date.

We refund every payment in full, the move fee included, within 14 days of your withdrawal, by the means you paid with, even though the site ran in the meantime. The plan ends at once and the site goes offline.

Cancelling

You can cancel a plan at any time on the plan page in the portal. The site keeps running until the end of the period you paid for, and you can take the cancellation back until then. After the first 30 days, a period already paid, month or year, is not refunded.

When a plan ends

When a plan ends, the site goes offline and we keep it, with its backups, for 30 days, in case you come back or want a copy. After those 30 days we delete the site and its staging copy, and its backups 7 days later. Your domain is never touched: it stays where you registered it.

What we do

We run the site on our servers in Germany, keep the server, PHP and their security up to date, take the backups of your plan and watch every minute that the site answers.

On Care plans we try each WordPress, theme and plugin update every night on a copy of the site first. An update that breaks a key page, adds a PHP error or visibly changes a page is held back, and we email you. Only the updates that passed reach the site. A new major version of WooCommerce always waits until a person approves it.

Uptime and how fast we answer are in the SLA.

What you do

  • Keep your portal password, your two step verification and your site's WordPress accounts safe.
  • You are responsible for your site's content, for the plugins and themes you add and for what is done on it by you and by the people and tools you give access to: your team, an agency, a developer, an AI agent.
  • Your site's own legal duties stay yours: its privacy policy, its cookie consent, its shop terms.
  • Follow the acceptable use policy.
  • Our backups are kept as your plan says. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Support and technical intervention

Support is by tickets in the portal and by email at hello@guruburu.eu, in the six languages of this site.

When you ask for help in any channel, in an emergency (a site that is down, hacked or sending spam, for example), or when our own monitoring finds a problem, you agree that our staff may enter your account in the portal and your site, its WordPress admin and its files on our servers, to check and fix it. We do so for technical reasons only. We do not change or use your personal data or passwords, and card details stay with Stripe.

Inside WordPress we use a temporary support user, removed when we leave and at the latest after 2 hours. Every entry is written to an internal log (who, when, why, what was done), which is kept 3 years and does not appear in your activity log. When you asked for the fix, we tell you what we did in your ticket.

Priority includes emergency help of up to one hour a month for a site that is down, hacked, broken after a change or missing a page deleted by mistake. We start within 2 working hours. Unused time does not carry over, and it does not cover new features or code.

Suspending a site to protect others

We may take a site offline at once, without warning, if it is hacked, spreads malware or spam, attacks others, puts our servers or other clients at risk, or seriously breaks the acceptable use policy. We tell you why and what is needed to bring it back, and we bring it back as soon as the risk is gone. For anything less urgent we warn you first and give you reasonable time to fix it.

Personal data

How we use the data of your account is in the privacy policy. For the personal data on your website you are the controller and we are your processor, under the data processing agreement, which is part of this contract.

Liability

Our total liability for a site over any 12 months is limited to what you paid us for that site in those 12 months. We are not liable for indirect damage or lost profit.

For business clients, the credits in the SLA are the only compensation for missed uptime.

These limits do not apply to damage caused on purpose or by gross negligence, to harm to life or health, or wherever the law does not allow them, and they never reduce a consumer's legal rights.

Events beyond our control

We are not liable for a failure caused by events we could not reasonably foresee or prevent, such as a wide outage of our server provider or of the internet, a natural disaster, or an attack too large to stop. We tell you as soon as we can and do what we reasonably can to limit the harm.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for a valid reason, such as a new law, a new service or a change of supplier. We email you at least 30 days before a change applies to you; if you do not agree, you can cancel before then.

Law and disputes

Romanian law applies. A consumer keeps the protection of the law of their own country where it gives more. We try to settle any disagreement directly first. Consumers can also turn to ANPC, including through SAL, or to the courts their law allows; business disputes go to the courts of Timișoara.
